Operated for 99 years, the Quincy Mine was one of the most productive and longest operating mines in the Copper Country. The mine reached depths of nearly two miles and produced over 400,000 tons of copper. Today, visitors can visit the hoist house, which contains the world’s largest steam-powered hoist, and enter the mine from the seventh level for a glimpse of what life was like underground.
