The largest bridge of its type, the Portage Lift Bridge connects the towns of Houghton and Hancock. Raised and lowered at the whim of sailboat captains (so it sometimes seems) and most days during the summer months for the Ranger, it is a reminder of how good we have it in the Keweenaw. Where others must suffer hour long commutes both ways every day, our sole traffic inconvenience is the five minute delay caused by the Bridge going up or down. 2.4x3.5 stickers.
